As a first-time mom, I rarely went anywhere without my new little baby. I loved toting her along, receiving accolades from fellow shoppers, smiling down on her sleeping form, and living the life I envisioned when I was a little girl who took a dolly everywhere.

This worked fine when she was 8 or 10 pounds, but when she doubled her weight by the time she was 2 months old and stopped sleeping so soundly, reality swiftly arrived. Nap schedules became defined, her mewing cries turned into bellows, and hefting her became more of a nightmare than a dream sequence.

At that point, I got out my breast pump and began setting aside milk so someone else could feed my baby while I took little breaks. A trip to Target, Fred Meyer, or a local coffee shop sans baby quickly became the highlight of my week.

Since my little girl was breastfed, I wanted a bottle that would help her transition back and forth from the breast to the bottle. I liked the simplicity of breastfeeding and wanted it to continue as long as I could manage it, so when it came to bottle feeding, simplicity was likewise key for me, as I'm sure it is for you.

Here are a few bottles I discovered that help keep feeding time easy. The first two bottles mimic the flow of the breast in different and unique ways, and the third simplifies formula feeding.
